You're a locked door
located on the 13th floor
where all keys are wrong
I just got sick of trying.
Words are keys that just don't fit
your fire was watered before it was lit
my beloved, I need a skeleton key
to open up that door, and see
what exactly, I've been trying to free
I'm digging through keys,
finding nothing but a tease
it goes in, but just doesn't turn
and each time I try, you get burned
They look you in the eyes and say
"oh honey, you take my breath away"
well, each time you take it, you give it right back to me
and I keep trying to find this key,
Skeleton key, the key to your unlocking
the key to your release...

Pull one more petal from the rose;
It wont hurt... I don't suppose.
Ripping the life from this flower
seems to be my only source of power.
Although it wont last for an eternity,
it brings meaning to what I now see.
Hurt by life pulled once more;
drop the dead flower, just as before.
To the ground, its lifeless limbs lay,
till one day... when a passerby decides to say,
I can make you whole again.. more than a stick...
all we need's love.. and a lil' bit of magic.
